Mail us or drop off an original Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or any State death certificate at our office. The death certificate you submit to us cannot be a photocopy or a notarized copy and you
can’t fax or email us a copy
 of a death certificate to apostille or authenticate.

The respective Secretary of State will only accept and issue apostille certificates and authentication certificates on original death certificates that are physically presented to them not copies.

Step Two

Submit payment online. We can either send you an electronic invoice or use the online checkout system. You can also pay in person at our Tewksbury MA office. Why do documents need to be apostilled?

An apostille certifies a document so that document can be recognized and accepted in other foreign countries that are also members of the 1961 Hague Convention Treaty. Think of it as mutual reciprocity between countries.
