Frequently Asked Questions

Massachusetts corporate and federal documents are acceptable for the apostille service. We may provide expedited authentication services for Massachusetts certifications from the MA Secretary of State within just one business day. Please contact our customer service for confirmation first.

Massachusetts Apostille is acceptable for all types of documents destined for use in one of the Hague Convention Participating Countries.

Documents issued by a different state cannot be apostilled by the State of Massachusetts. They must be apostilled from the same issuing state. Documents issued by the federal government for individuals or companies located in Massachusetts must obtain the Apostille from the U.S. Department of State.

Providing your application is in order, we will review your documents for notary compliance and then proceed to the appropriate government office to complete the application. Once the document is apostilled, you can pick it up in person or pre-pay for FedEx or UPS to deliver it back to you anywhere in the world.

For Massachusetts:

Other States
The short answer is that it depends on their volume and staffing levels, usually 1–3 weeks.
Department Of State
The process can take from 3 to 6 weeks.

You can cancel the service at any time prior to taking or mailing your documents to the government office. Refund requests must be in writing and done within the time frame set in our posted terms of use agreement.

Upon job completion, you will be notified so you can either pickup in person at our Tewksbury, MA, location or arrange for shipping in the US and overseas via FedEx or Express Mail. We can also scan a copy into your email account.

The State of Massachusetts can only apostille documents signed by an MA state public official. Such as:

  • Apostille for Massachusetts Notaries Public Documents.
  • Apostille for Town Clerks documents.
  • Apostille for Local Registrars of Vital Statistics Documents.
  • Apostille for Clerks and Assistant Clerks of the Superior and Probate Courts documents.
  • Apostille for Commissioners of Massachusetts State Agencies documents.

Apostille certificates do not have an expiration date. The apostille certificate will have a date of issue, but it does not ‘run out’ or ‘expire’. In most circumstances, an apostille should be accepted at any time after the issue. However, there are some circumstances when a recent apostille may be requested on a document.

You can mail your documents to our office address below. Please make sure you use FedEx, Express Mail, or UPS to ship your documents to us.

Once your apostilled documents are returned to our office from the government office, we will notify you by phone or email right away.
